SAN CALISTO WALL

San Calisto Wall was born from Leuzzi’s idea of portraying a Rome that no longer exists — a city made of chance encounters and imperfect humanity. The bar becomes a symbolic place where stories begin unexpectedly, where people meet and fall in love, even if only for a moment.

Through the images he creates, the project explores relationships that emerge from listening to real stories — stories that belong to everyone. The wall becomes a space for reflection on love and emotions, a nostalgic gesture that seeks to recall a slower, more authentic way of living, now increasingly distant.

The project began in 2022 with the mural Aspetto te che non ti conosco e già t'amo, which immediately received strong media attention.

This was followed by Stasera faremo l'amore, Di tutto, giuro, per un tuo sguardo (2023), and All'amore si sta in silenzio (2023). From 2024, Leuzzi expanded his research towards a more collective dimension of emotions with works such as La bellezza, il morir d'ogni guerra, il sogno, Quanto amore servirebbe (2025), and L'amore è Dio (2025).

The wall also becomes a space through which projects on relationships, developed during the artist residencies Le mie mani are shared, including Non ti scordar di me (2024) and Mi perderò nella tua solitudine (2025).

In Non ti scordar di te (2025), the focus shifts from the relationship with others to the relationship with oneself. Here, the artist reflects on solitude, the passage of time, and the difficulty of staying connected to one’s own needs in an increasingly disconnected world.

In his latest project, Tempo scorri come un fiume (2026), Leuzzi reflects on the passage of time and the sense of loss that accompanies change, highlighting the challenge of inhabiting the present without being overwhelmed by the uncertainty of the future.
