The project Le mie mani was born from Mirko Leuzzi’s idea of creating an artist residency that would allow him to deepen his research through the involvement of selected external participants, chosen via an open call, offering a unique and immersive experience.

Each residency focuses on a central theme, often psychological, developed in a dedicated space, away from the noise of the city.

The artist and the organizers select participants according to the criteria outlinedin the open call.

 

The first edition focused on the exploration of emotional blocks.

The reflections developed collectively during the residency led to the creation of six large-scale works. The artist’s interest, both psychological and anthropological, activated a process of in-depth engagement with the participants, aimed at gathering the elements needed for the creation of large canvases. Individual sensibilities are filtered through an emotional journey that is both personal and collective.

​The conceptual and formal framework of these works, shaped through relationships, exchanges, and mutual influences, remains entirely the artist’s, while participants contribute to the decorative aspects of the compositions.
