Alicudi island

The project Le mie mani was born from Mirko Leuzzi’s idea of creating an artist residency that would allow him to deepen his research through the involvement of selected external participants, chosen via an open call, offering a unique and immersive experience.

Each residency focuses on a central theme, often psychological, developed in a dedicated space, away from the noise of the city.

The artist and the organizers select participants according to the criteria outlinedin the open call.

The third edition focused on Fear of Solitude, explored through its emotional and relational dimensions.

The reflections that emerged during the residency, developed through dialogue with the participants, resulted in six works in which a sense of isolation intertwines with the desire for connection, creating a layered and emotionally charged visual journey.

The outcome of this process was presented in a solo exhibition at Galleria Anna Marra, where the works engaged in a dialogue with the audience, generating strong participation and resonance with the theme.
